| DBKU to hold <b>Kuching</b> Marathon - The Borneo Post Online Posted: 19 Feb 2014 11:14 AM PST KUCHING: The Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) will hold the Kuching Marathon 2014 in connection with Visit Sarawak Year 2014. Organised in collaboration with the Kuching Marathon Association (KMA), the marathon will take place at Padang Merdeka from 4am on Aug 17 . Category A involves the 42km run open to those aged 18 and above, veteran men and women (45 years and above) as well as national men and women. Registration for early birds until Feb 28 costs RM80. The ordinary registration fee is RM90 (March 1 to May 31) while late registration is RM100 (June 1-30). For Category B, which is the 21km run, registration is open to those aged 16 and above, veteran men and women (aged 45 and above). The early bird registration fee until Feb 28 is RM60, ordinary registration fee from March 1 to May 31 is RM70, while the late registration fee from June 1-30 is RM80. The 10km Category C is open to those aged 15 and above at RM50 (early bird), RM60 (ordinary) or RM70 (late). For the 5km Category D, registration is open to those aged 12 and above. Fees are RM30 (early bird), RM40 (ordinary) or RM50 (late). DBKU has called on Kuching folk to support this event and contribute to a healthier city.
