Kerajaan pelawa pelabur terokai industri makanan halal tampung permintaan dunia

KUCHING: Kerajaan Sarawak mengalu-alukan usahawan dari dalam dan luar negara untuk merebut peluang perniagaan di Hab Halal Tanjung Manis.

Menteri Muda di Pejabat Ketua Menteri (Hal Ehwal Islam), Datuk Daud Abdul Rahman berkata, peluang ini perlu direbut kerana hab tersebut memiliki potensi besar, tanah murah dan luas untuk aktiviti halal terutamanya industri makanan halal.

Malah, katanya, hab ini bakal menjadi hab paling maju di dunia termasuk menampung permintaan produk halal pasaran antarabangsa.

"Kita lihat peluang untuk industri makanan halal begitu luas sekali di peringkat antarabangsa. Justeru, kita berharap agar lebih banyak usahawan dapat merebut peluang yang kita sediakan ini," katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian kepada pemberita selepas melancarkan Pertubuhan Usahawan Halal Muslim Malaysia (PUHMM) Cawangan Sarawak di Hotel Hilton di sini, semalam.

Mengakui Hab Halal Tanjung Manis masih belum menjalankan aktiviti secara serius, Daud berkata, kerajaan negeri kini sedang giat untuk mempromosikannya di negara berpotensi seperti China dan India.

"Buat masa ini masih belum ada aktiviti serius di situ dan kita sedar perkara ini. Untuk itu kita akan pastikan ia dapat dijayakan.

"Apa yang kita mahu adalah lebih banyak aktiviti di situ dan bermula tahun ini kita telah pergi ke China dan India, mengadakan seminar dan sekiranya res-pons positif diterima kita harap mereka akan datang ke sini untuk melaksanakan operasi di Tanjung Manis," terangnya.

Dalam perkembangan lain, Daud yang juga Menteri Muda Pembangunan Infrastruktur memberitahu, bagi tahun 2014 sebanyak 900 sijil halal telah dikeluarkan.

Daripada jumlah itu, jelasnya, terdapat dua kes sijil halal dibatalkan yang mana kedua-duanya adalah di Kuching disebabkan tamat tempoh (tidak perbaharui) dan satu lagi didapati tidak mematuhi syarat ditetapkan.

Dalam pada itu, Daud memaklumkan, masyarakat Islam yang ingin menikmati juadah di Pusat Makanan Laut Top Spot (Taman Kereta) tidak perlu ragu-ragu lagi kerana semua gerai makanan di situ telah mendapat sijil halal.

Beliau turut memberikan amaran kepada pemilik premis makanan agar tidak meletakkan tanda 'No Pork' bagi menggantikan logo halal kerana perkara ini boleh mengelirukan pengguna.

"Ini boleh mengelirukan. Jadi tidak kira pemilik premis Islam ataupun bukan, mereka boleh diambil tindakan dan baru-baru ini KPDNKK telah mengambil tindakan terhadap sebuah premis yang berbuat demikian," tegasnya.

Ketika diminta mengulas mengenai kes seorang paderi Katolik Johor ditahan memiliki buku mengan-dungi perkataan Allah bagi kegunaan Orang Asli berkata, perkara itu tidak sepatutnya berlaku.

"Apa yang berlaku di Johor adalah salah faham kerana ia digunakan untuk Orang Asli yang kita tahu mereka hanya tahu Bahasa Malaysia, manakala buku yang ada hanya bahasa Indonesia.

"Bukan bermakna mereka menghina dan memperolokkan orang Islam, ini bukan isu bagi kita dan kita harap kerajaan juga faham dan tiada tindakan diambil kepada mereka," jelasnya.

Hadir sama pada majlis ter-sebut Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Semariang Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, Penasihat PUHMM Datuk Seri Dr Suhaime Saad, Pengerusi Penganjur Zainorin Mohd Saaid.
