KUCHING: Four Points by Sheraton Kuching malam kelmarin turut menyertai 'Earth Hour' dengan bergelap selama sejam bermula 8.30 malam hingga 9.30 malam.

Timbalan Pengurus Besarnya Bobby Ting berkata, Four Points by Sheraton Kuching menyertai berjuta hotel di seluruh dunia bagi menghantar mesej kesedaran dan kepentingan menjaga alam sekitar dan bumi.

Menurutnya, hotel tersebut mematuhi 'Earth Hour' dengan mematikan lampu selama satu jam sebagai komitmen kepada kelestarian alam sekitar.

"Kami mematikan lampu papan tanda luar dan lampu dalaman yang tidak penting dan menggunakan cahaya lilin dalam The Eatery, The Lounge dan lobi hotel.

"Kami turut membuat simbol cahaya lilin '60 +' di lobi hotel untuk menandakan pematuhan Earth Hour," katanya kepada pemberita malam kelmarin.

Tambahnya, pihaknya turut menawarkan bufet 'Go Green Earth Hour' dengan harga

RM68.00 + + bagi setiap orang dewasa dan kanak-kanak bawah 12 tahun menikmati diskaun 50 peratus.

Bobby menambah, sebagai tanggungjawab sosial korporat (CSR), hotel turut menjual baju-T di cetak dengan logo hotel dan boleh didapati di hadapan The Eatery dari 28 Mac dengan harga RM28 sehelai.

"Hasil jualan baju-T ini dan 10 peratus daripada bil The Eatery akan disumbangkan kepada projek CSR hotel yang akan diberikan kepada premis kebajikan terpilih," jelasnya.

Selain itu, sebagai usaha menjaga alam sekitar beberapa perkara telah diaplikasikan oleh hotel kami iaitu hotel kebangsaan pertama yang mengamalkan 100 peratus tidak merokok.

"Kami turut menubuhkan jawatankuasa 'Hijau', menggantikan lampu dengan yang lebih menjimatkan, melaksanakan 'Green Housekeeping' serta mematikan komputer, mesin pencetak serta mesin kopi bagi menjimatkan tenaga elektrik di tahap maksimum," jelasnya.

<b>Hotel</b> Waterfront diyakini menyumbang kepada legasi <b>...</b>

KUCHING: Pembinaan Hotel Waterfront yang dibina berkembar dengan pusat beli-belah Plaza Merdeka di sini diyakini akan menyumbang kepada legasi pembangunan bandar raya ini.

Demikian dinyatakan Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud ketika menyempurnakan acara 'Topping Off' hotel baharu berkenaan, semalam.

"Saya yakin apabila berdirinya Hotel Waterfront nanti, ia akan membantu meningkatkan legasi kejiranan di Kuching.

"Saya mendoakan yang terbaik kepada projek ini agar ia dapat dilaksanakan sepenuhnya dan mencapai matlamat yang dikehendaki," katanya.

Menurut Taib, Kuching kini sudah semakin maju dan berkembang sekali gus menjadi tarikan utama para pelancong asing.

"Hakikatnya, kita sudah berjaya membangunkan Kuching khasnya dan Sarawak amnya.

"Sebab itu, kita dapat menyaksikan Kuching kini sudah menjadi tempat tarikan pelancong dan menjadi kawasan 'walk about' bagi masyarakat," katanya.

Sementara itu, Pengarah Urusan Plaza Merdeka dan Kumpulan Hotel 360 Datuk Steve Ng berkata tema bagi pembinaan Hotel Waterfront adalah 'ARTRAGEOUS Hotel' iaitu berkonsepkan hasil seni.

"Kami telah komited untuk bekerjasama dan menyokong masyarakat seni tempatan.

"Kami akan memberikan tempat bagi mereka mempamerkan kerja-kerja seni mereka tanpa sebarang kos," katanya.

Selain itu, Ng berkata pihaknya juga akan membeli hasil seni yang terpilih dan mempamerkannya di dalam hotel untuk tatapan para pelanggan.

"Kami menyasarkan untuk mewujudkan satu produk yang akan menambah satu dimensi baharu kepada pasaran hospitaliti Kuching sekali gus menjadi salah satu lokasi ikonik di malaysia," katanya.

Hadir sama Puan Sri Ragad Kurdi Taib, Menteri Pelancongan Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg dan Datuk Bandar DBKU Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai.

KUCHING: Kumpulan Syarikat Boulevard melakar satu lagi kejayaan semalam menerusi pembukaan rasmi Hotel Imperial Kuching, sebuah hotel kelas perniagaan bertaraf empat bintang.

Berlokasi strategik, Hotel Imperial Kuching terletak di atas pusat beli-belah Boulevard dan bersebelahan Imperial Suites.

Menurut Pengarah Eksekutif Kumpulan Syarikat Shin Yang James Ling Lu Kiong, hotel baharu ini menawarkan 339 bilik tetamu dan suites termasuk dua aras eksekutif dengan rekaan yang menarik.

Setiap bilik tetamu katanya dilengkapi dengan TV LED 42 inci, peti sejuk bar mini, kemudahan membuat kopi dan teh, saluran HyppTV, bilik air dengan tab mandi yang berasingan dengan paip mandi, seterika dan papan seterika, pengering lampu, WiFi serta akses kepada Internet.

"Kami berbangga menjadi hotel pertama di Sarawak yang melanggani Hospitality Entertainment Solution daripada TM dengan pakej hiburan dan ICT terkini.

Tambah Ling, Hotel Imperial Kuching turut menawarkan fasiliti untuk acara persidangan dan mesyuarat meliputi kawasan seluas 5,856 meter persegi.

Selain Imperial Grand Ballroom dan Boulevard Grand Ballroom, terdapat sembilan lagi bilik mesyuarat pelbagai guna dengan pelbagai saiz dan bentuk bagi acara kecil.

Sempena pembukaan hotel itu semalam, Hotel Imperial menawarkan promosi istimewa ke atas bilik penginapan dari kadar RM180 sebilik untuk satu malam termasuk sarapan pagi dan komplimentari Wi-Fi.

Dalam pada itu, legasi jenama Imperial bermula dengan Hotel Imperial Miri yang dikenali sebagai Imperial Suites Miri pada mulanya.

Pada tahun 2004, hartanah ini telah diambil oleh Boulevard Enterprise (Miri) Sdn Bhd, sebuah syarikat yang dibangunkan di bawah Kumpulan Syarikat Boulevard.
