Flight reschedule Air Asia: Kuching - Kota Bharu - Malaysia Forum ... Posted: 04 Apr 2014 02:55 PM PDT Hello everyone! I would like to get your opinion on this... A few weeks ago, I booked a flight from Kuching to Kota Bharu with Air Asia, for May 17. Yesterday, I received a reschedule notice from Air Asia: instead of arriving in Kota Bharu at 8:55am, we will arrive at 1:55pm. I am a bit disappointed, since I had planned our stay on Perhentian Besar according to the original flight schedule, and I would like to spend as much time as possible on the island (arriving at 2pm at the airport would mean that we would arrive quite late on the island, assuming there is no flight delay and we can still catch a boat in Kuala Besut). We are thinking of maybe getting a refund from Air Asia, and book a flight with Malaysia Airlines: the only other possible option I found would be a flight from Kuching to Kuala Terengganu, with a connection in Kuala Lumpur. We would arrive at 9:15am at TGG, and take a taxi to Kuala Besut…We would arrive on Perhentian Besar much earlier than with the Air Asia flight. Do you think it would be a good idea to change our flights? Has anyone ever tried to go from TGG airport to Kuala Besut? Is it easily doable? I read it's about 80-90 minutes by taxi. Do you think 1h05 connecting time is enough for domestic flight with MH at KLIA? Thank you very much for your help! |

Mayor: Turn Kuching into model environmental city – BorneoPost ... Posted: 29 Mar 2014 12:36 PM PDT by Lim How Pim, reporters@theborneopost.com. Posted on March 30, 2014, Sunday KUCHING: Kuching aims to become a 'model environmental city' with clean air, clean water and beautiful surroundings, said Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato James Chan. Towards this end, he said the community had to play a crucial role in preserving Mother Nature and be committed to improving the quality of their surroundings. "Going green is to produce healthier lifestyles, make conscious choices and have a desire to make positive impacts towards creating a healthier city and healthier community. "It is not a fashion, but a way of life and a conscious effort to make a personal contribution to improving the Earth's health," he said when opening the 'Think.Love.Green. Campaign' held in conjunction with the Earth Hour 2014 by CityONE Megamall here yesterday. Chan lauded the mall for undertaking the green drive while hoping it would keep up its effort in reaching out to more young people to play a proactive role in preserving environment. He believed the campaign would enlighten shoppers on the importance of a quality environment besides offering tips on how they could make the city a better place for all. CityONE Megamall is running a three-day campaign, which ends today, to encourage individuals to go green by recycling used products, conserving water and power energy, saving forests or planting trees. Activities include 'Go Go Green Display', MBKS green initiative campaign and Tzu Chi Foundation Malaysia recycle-collection. Among the environment-friendly products roadshows to support the campaign are hybrid cars by Jimisar Corporation Sdn Bhd, organic cosmetics and skin care by GOWA, eco-friendly Xerox toner or ink by Mavisco and go green e-bicycle by GYH E-Vehicle Sdn Bhd. |
